All Tied Up Review

Warning: very kinky.

Neil knows he’s not the kind of boy that Daddies want.

He’s too old, too plain, and too… boring. So when his best friend sets him up for a kinky singles weekend in the Oregon mountains, all he’s expecting are scenic views.

What he’s not expecting is Jamie, the beautiful, bratty boy who co-owns the lodge and flirts with Neil like he’s something special. Or Jamie’s sexy Daddy, Sebastian, who invites him to be their boy for the weekend.

Neil knows that even after he says yes, he’ll only be one more temporary playmate for the younger couple. But it’s difficult to remember when the lodge is in trouble and Neil knows that he can help. If only they can trust him enough to let him in.

All Tied Up features an older man who doesn't think he'll ever be anyone's boy, a flirty, genderflexible brat who doesn’t dare to hope for another boy to like him, and the brat's Daddy who’s afraid to let anyone else get close... but will do anything to give his boy what he really needs. It also has adorable nicknames, exhibitionism, impact play, and an HEA.

This book is part of the Destination Daddies multi-author series. Each book can be read as a standalone, but there are so many destinations and Daddies to discover, why not grab them all?

General Impressions

Reese Morrison is one of those authors that I don't need to know what their next book is about: I know I will read it, reread it and hold it close to my heart forever - so it's fair to say my expectations were very high, as always. I never thought Love Language would be dethroned but this might be my new favourite.

Something you can count on with Reese is that they always succeed in writing characters and storylines rarely or even never seen before anywhere else other than fanfiction. Among others "All Tied Up" features a polyamorous loving relationship involving loads of kinks, agender and gender flexible characters, body diversity and a range of dis/abilities representation...culminating into one of the sweetest books I have ever had the pleasure of reading.

This was definitely one of those books where I fell in love with the characters: we had previously met Neil in Dear Daddy, Please Want Me, but there was so much more of him to discover and love here: I really enjoyed seeing an older man exploring kinks for the first time, surrounded by a loving community.

It was Sebastian and Jamie that made me laugh (and blush) the most though: the first one by being so outrageously judgmental inside his head and the second by being such a loving brat filled with hearts and flowers. Every time Jamie's makeup and clothes were mentioned made me feel so happy as did seeing Sebastian confront his inner demons and Neil deal with his insecurities. We got to see a shy, anxiety-ridden middle-aged lawyer explore his sexuality with a Latinx agender Daddy and their gender flexible boy while breaking all kinds of stereotypes of what queer people are supposed to be, love, look and act like. All these characters were so complex and real: each one being completely different people that just completed each other and loved each other

Something else I really liked in this book was that the author introduced us to all these characters, adult or even middle-aged queer people falling in love and in bed without glancing over their age, bodies and experiences but celebrating all of that instead. I loved seeing older queer characters on a never-ending journey to discovering and loving themselves and their community, as it grows to embrace more people and identities.

The way the kink and sexy scenes were written were also so wonderful not because every scene is always magically perfect but because they are honest about how it takes time to learn about each other's bodies and preferences and the importance of communication and not taking everything too seriously with all kinds of insecurities and questions being addressed.

Conclusions

This was one of the best romances I have ever read: the romance is impeccable, the hot scenes are imaginative without becoming unbelievable and a diverse range of experiences and themes is discussed through the book with love and care. I say this at the end of every one of their books but I don't care: I can barely wait for what Reese Morrison chooses to gift us with next.

Thank you so much to Reese Morrison for allowing me to review this DRC.
